Teachers Buyukai 2019

Sveneric Bogsäter

My name is Sveneric (to the left in the photo), I have been asked to say something about myself. As a matter of fact, I’ve been asked to write down a CV. That is not for me, I have very little of interest to say about myself. However, I’m expected to say something, so...

I have practiced Bujinkan since the introduction made by Bo F Munthe to Europe back in the days. In other words, some 40 years now. Before that I was involved in Jujutsu, Aikido, Karate and Judo. I’m the old boy in this company of boys. Around 3-4 decades ago, maybe I was little of a bad boy, but now, in my age it’s just about the old bones.

No excuses though, what the many years of training have given me is a certain amount of knowledge, furthermore I have learned that knowledge is far from enough. If the knowledge should come in to play it must be practiced. It has to be lived, it’s not enough to understand.

And on the other hand I have today, in my age (72), reached the insight to simply do what I feel is right, I do what I feel I have to do without the feeling that I have to anything, and simply living my way. Maybe it is something also mirrored in my taijutsu today.

See you all in Stockholm December 13-15, 2019 Nichi Nihci Kore Konichi – every day is a good day.

Or when you participate at the Nordic Buyukai, do it for real and do it well.

I am a student of Lauri´s and in my class at the Bad to the Bone, I will attempt to show some exercises which might help you get more out of Lauri´s teaching and style.
I started my Bujinkan training officially in 1992, first with a student of Jonny Lindroth of Stockholms Budoskola on Jungfrugatan, then with himself. Later on, I was lucky enough to find Lauri and he accepted me as a student.

Like almost all of us I guess, I started in martial arts at 7 yrs. old with judo, dabbled with karate and some kickboxing.

I also have some experience with Muay Chaiya, sports Muay Thai, BJJ, as well as training and teaching professional use-of-force both in Finland and abroad.
